Completed a dozen marathons and a handful of 50 mile ultras.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Consistent aerobic and strength training.

Christie Clinic Half Marathon 4/27/24

Long-Term Running Goals:

Sub 1:35 in half marathon.  Then might consider taking a shot at full marathon again.

Personal:

I started more dedicated running and racing in my thirties.  Eventually I developed symptomatic bradycardia and SVT which required a cardiac pacemaker implant and a cardiac cath ablation.  It has taken a long time to get back to running consistently again.  Counting my blessings and trying to remain more balanced with fitness.

AM: Nothing fancy....same time, same channel.  Followed by some stretching.  Legs felt tons better afterwards.

PM: Easy run for the most part with 2.0 mi a little slower than MP.  Perfect running day with full sun, light wind, and low 60s.  Running a 20K at the end of this month with a goal to break 1:18.

Good luck at dam to dam. I wanted so bad to race the 20k again, but I have been dealing with major IT band issues as of late and will have to settle for the 5k. Good luck on your quest to break 1:18!

Thanks Jacob! I think I have it in my legs, but my head is not screwed on right these days so I'm fighting undermining tendences (i.e. eating and drinking too much).

That is a great goal for the 20k. I'm sure you will get everything together and achieve it. Good luck!

Thanks Jim! Beginning to get it together again. Eye of the Tiger, right?!! My issues have always been upstairs between the ears.
