Completed a dozen marathons and a handful of 50 mile ultras.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Consistent aerobic and strength training.

Christie Clinic Half Marathon 4/27/24

Long-Term Running Goals:

Sub 1:35 in half marathon.  Then might consider taking a shot at full marathon again.

Personal:

I started more dedicated running and racing in my thirties.  Eventually I developed symptomatic bradycardia and SVT which required a cardiac pacemaker implant and a cardiac cath ablation.  It has taken a long time to get back to running consistently again.  Counting my blessings and trying to remain more balanced with fitness.

AM1: Got up really early due to poor sleep and ran 6 mi on the TM.  Last mile was in KSOs.

AM2: Ran 7.58 mi right after men's breakfast at church.  Felt crummy, but wanted to get it done early due to the high winds expected later.  All done easy 8-9 min pace.

Way to keep getting in the mileage. I'm a big believer in mixing in some of those 9 minute miles on some runs.

it's definitely wind season...but I'll take it over freezing temperatures any day. Nice job getting the mileage in today. How's the diet?

Diet is going better. I've always had a problem with food and self sabotage. My weight comes down fairly quickly with my current mileage, but you can never outrun your stomach if you allow it to go crazy.
