Completed a dozen marathons and a handful of 50 mile ultras.
Short-Term Running Goals:
Consistent aerobic and strength training.
Christie Clinic Half Marathon 4/27/24
Long-Term Running Goals:
Sub 1:35 in half marathon. Then might consider taking a shot at full marathon again.
Personal:
I started more dedicated running and racing in my thirties. Eventually I developed symptomatic bradycardia and SVT which required a cardiac pacemaker implant and a cardiac cath ablation. It has taken a long time to get back to running consistently again. Counting my blessings and trying to remain more balanced with fitness.

Easy 22 mi ran as out and back on bike trail. All miles at 8-9 min pace, but ran the 2nd half faster (low 8s). Still a bit hot and humid, but not as bad when sun is clouded over and wind picks up.

Thought you'd taken a break after the 30-miler and sore foot, but no, you've still been knocking down those miles- even in the heat! Nice job...vacation? Glad I'm not the only one who'd rather not keep score in golf.

Hi Dave - Yes, still plugging away slowly. Getting lazy with reporting into the blog. Figured out my foot problem is due to a form issue at toe off. Taking a vacation trip this coming week (church related camp) so no reporting until I get back. Looking forward to studying God's word everyday and de-programming a bit if you know what I mean. Keep up the great running, you're making great progress.
