Completed a dozen marathons and a handful of 50 mile ultras.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Consistent aerobic and strength training.

Christie Clinic Half Marathon 4/27/24

Long-Term Running Goals:

Sub 1:35 in half marathon.  Then might consider taking a shot at full marathon again.

Personal:

I started more dedicated running and racing in my thirties.  Eventually I developed symptomatic bradycardia and SVT which required a cardiac pacemaker implant and a cardiac cath ablation.  It has taken a long time to get back to running consistently again.  Counting my blessings and trying to remain more balanced with fitness.

Easy warmup 2 mi, then fast 1 mi at 5K-10K pace, easy 1 mi, then fast 1 mi at tempo pace, and finished with easy pace 2 mi. (7:28 avg).  The plan is to continue keeping volume higher than last year and throw in a little speed 1-2 times a week.

That sounds like a good plan.

Good luck on your hunt this weekend.

Just checking in to see how everything is going since I haven't seen any updates in awhile. Hope all is well.

Yes, still here, but lazier. I had a great time deer hunting. Still running nearly everyday, but keeping track only in my personal journal. The weather has been a real bummer here so the miles are lower. I'll try to start reporting again on the blog in January. Planning to keep things easy and cruise through the holidays. Thanks for checking up on me and congrats on running a great mary.

Weather stinks out here as well...nice to see you're plugging away. Enjoy your Christmas!
