Personal:

I started more dedicated running and racing in my thirties.  Eventually I developed symptomatic bradycardia and SVT which required a cardiac pacemaker implant and a cardiac cath ablation.  It has taken a long time to get back to running consistently again.  Counting my blessings and trying to remain more balanced with fitness.

Jogged the first 5 miles very slowly and walked about 2 min at 5 mile point.  Then ran the rest of the way.  Last mile done barefoot.  Knee still acts up during miles 1 thru 4, but becoming more tolerable.

Hey Robert! Just checkin in and noticed you have been having some IT band problems as of late. I had some big time IT band problems at the start of last summer, its a real nagging injury. I did buy a cho-pat strap for just above the knee, that didn't really do much. Just ice and rest for about a week. Then when I got back at it, I integrated a stretching routine aimed at stretching the IT band. I found in my recovery, there would be days where it would hurt like crazy and days where it would feel fine, but by the end of summer, it had cleared up. Good luck on your road to recovery!

Hi Jacob! Yes, I'll be glad when my knee is back to normal. Thanks for the tips.
