Personal:

I started more dedicated running and racing in my thirties.  Eventually I developed symptomatic bradycardia and SVT which required a cardiac pacemaker implant and a cardiac cath ablation.  It has taken a long time to get back to running consistently again.  Counting my blessings and trying to remain more balanced with fitness.

Light rain, cooler, and more windy today.  Jogged around an 8:30 pace.  Felt better today versus yesterday, but when I get tired , I get tired quickly.  Feels like a big cliff between feeling good and feeling tired right around the hour mark.  Not tracking shoe miles anymore because I'm still rotating the same beaters I had all last year.  I lost count, but probably getting towards 1200 miles a piece on them.  Getting my money's worth in these tough economic times!!!

Nice to see you back. I do have some newer shoes but I'm rotating them with some old beaters also. My soles tend to wear through on the outside edge of my heals but with a little shoe goo I've been able to keep them usable a lot longer. I honestly can't tell a lot of difference and don't feel I'm doing any harm running in them.

Good luck getting back into it.

Great to see you back Robert! I was running low on friends. You are a tremendous encouragement to me on this blog. Hang in there and I hope to cross paths with you one day.
