Completed a dozen marathons and a handful of 50 mile ultras.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Consistent aerobic and strength training.

Christie Clinic Half Marathon 4/27/24

Long-Term Running Goals:

Sub 1:35 in half marathon.  Then might consider taking a shot at full marathon again.

Personal:

I started more dedicated running and racing in my thirties.  Eventually I developed symptomatic bradycardia and SVT which required a cardiac pacemaker implant and a cardiac cath ablation.  It has taken a long time to get back to running consistently again.  Counting my blessings and trying to remain more balanced with fitness.

Gradually making some progress, but I still suffer in high humidity. After doing a full review of my daily nutrition and hydration, I plan to make a switch to HCLF, but not full Vegan. My bodyweight is still not what it needs to be for stamina/endurance purposes so trying something different.

Great perseverance Bob. 14 miles is a long haul in high heat and humidity. What is HCLF?

Thanks Steve. HCLF stands for high carb, low fat. I'm consuming too much protein and fat so going to flip it around and see what happens. Always experimenting aren't we?

I'm a fan of letting your cravings be your guide. Sometimes I crave carbs, sometimes protein and fat.

Hopefully the humidity season is almost over up there...just makes things so difficult. Good luck on the new diet.
