Consistent aerobic and strength training.

Christie Clinic Half Marathon 4/27/24

Long-Term Running Goals:

Sub 1:35 in half marathon.  Then might consider taking a shot at full marathon again.

Personal:

I started more dedicated running and racing in my thirties.  Eventually I developed symptomatic bradycardia and SVT which required a cardiac pacemaker implant and a cardiac cath ablation.  It has taken a long time to get back to running consistently again.  Counting my blessings and trying to remain more balanced with fitness.

Completed 7.5 early before work and then 5.5 before eating lunch at my desk.  Feeling some tiredness and my middle back is stiff.  Had to be expected with the aggressive jump in miles this week compared to the last several..

Bob, how goes it? Just checking in. Looks like we've had a similiar winter- I ramped it up this week as well and my achilles are screaming. Hope things are well with you, job, faith, and family.

Hi Dave. Yes, just trying to get back to a better running schedule. Not sure why I loaf off because it just means going through more aches and pains than usual as the mileage climbs. My calves and back have been complaining this week. Trying to lose the weight I put on from the stress I had over the past 2 years as well. How are your classes going? God Bless.

Classes are going well. I only meet for 2 weeks during the year and then am given projects that will culminate with a 200 page thesis paper at the end of 3 years- I think only 50% graduate due to the final paper. I'm in need of shedding 6-8 pounds myself somehow over the next 5 weeks- we'll see.
