Marathon PR - 3:05 (3:06 at Boston)

Completed a dozen marathons and a handful of 50 mile ultras.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Consistent aerobic and strength training.

Christie Clinic Half Marathon 4/27/24

Long-Term Running Goals:

Sub 1:35 in half marathon.  Then might consider taking a shot at full marathon again.

Personal:

I started more dedicated running and racing in my thirties.  Eventually I developed symptomatic bradycardia and SVT which required a cardiac pacemaker implant and a cardiac cath ablation.  It has taken a long time to get back to running consistently again.  Counting my blessings and trying to remain more balanced with fitness.

No run, but did my normal circuit including jumping rope.  Getting stronger and feel more balanced overall.  I still can't believe I ran and raced for so long with acute muscles pains and weakness.

Morning run 8.6 miles.  Injury status: Small aches during miles 3-4.  Think I nearly have this beat, but not sure.

Lunch run 7 miles.  Very hot out so had to stop and walk a couple times as I felt myself really overheating.  Injury didn't bother at all, which was a very nice surprise.

Morning run before family vacation trip to St. Louis.  Tired, but kept moving.  Probably won't be running much over the next several days, but plenty of walking!
